Applications made after October 25th are being processed in Pakistan.

The Pakistan BHC is contacting the sponsors of the application ( ie the husband or wife) to confirm the details.

How important is the tax notice thingy?

I called HMRC today and they said they have no record of my employer in my name.

I have got payslips showing that tax is paid and my older bro (employer) does pay tax and has the yellow book thingy as well.

He has the VAT registeration certificate, he also has Employers PAYE reference number.

I am sooo confused now why on earth ain't these people got the info on their database.

My bro's friend who works in payroll dept for Metropolitan Police said that you need to be on HMRC's payroll in order for them to view ur tax payments, etc.

The biggest issue of all this is that our accountant is on holiday and he is quite hard to get a hold of. His son is trying to get hold of him too so that they can arrange a letter of employment confirmation or something.

I was due to go to get letter heads started off today but am waiting for the accountant's response on what to do.

HMRC was talking about P60 form and then I told her the situation and she said ok we can send out a letter of confirmation showing employer name and taxes paid but you need to provide us with an Employee/Worker/Payroll number, date of employment commenced and how much is ur salary.

It is the Employee or Payroll number which I do not have. This includes for my part-time job that I have also. No such number on my payslips for either employer.

Sometimes feel like skipping this whole HMRC thingy because it feels like it could take ages. After all, the main thing to do is to prove that the business exists and to get a letter headed paper.

Hey how r u? have you heard anything yet? I emailed bhc and they finally replied and it sed that application has been processed and we will contacted by Gerry's. Not heard anything yet. Im getting really impatient now cuz they checked with my employer on the 24th and dats two weeks.
The same. The status has not changed. I can't even sleep at night, and worst of all when I am asleep my wife rings me, asking me about what is happening lol. So I don't know I suppose I will have to hold out until next Friday but hoping Monday the status changes.
i can not sleep at night either. My husband and i are missing each other too much. We spend so much time over phone that it is taking over my life. I check the application every day even though i know it not going to change for while. But i check just the same like a crazy person.

Thank you for your email of 07/12/10 enquiring about the progress of your visa application. I can confirm that the application has been processed and you will hear shortly from the Visa Application Centre (Gerry's) about how you can collect your documents. Please do not contact Gerry's directly as they will be in touch with you as soon as they receive your paperwork. You can track the whereabouts of your documents at

www.ukvacpk.com

This is the messge i got from bhc when i emailed them about the application.

I couldnt wait so decided to email gerry's to find out what is happening and this is what they emailed me back (this is the email add i used mirpurvacmgr@gerrys.com.pk)

Your husband’s application is still under process, The average processing time for a settlement visa application is 12 weeks but some applications may require additional processing time if further enquiries need to be made.

Kindly also note that visa applications are assessed individually and process time may vary from applicant to applicant.

For further assistance please contact UKVisaSection.PakistanSettlementEnquiries@fco.gov.uk

Im confused that these lot are saying that it is still under process and bhc are saying that it is processed. Now what is this suppose to mean?

Hi ^

My husband has just recently sat the English test.
He has said that he spoke to the agents at Fedex and asked for how to sit the test. They got him a date for the following day at the British Consulate in Karachi. It all cost 25000 rupees.

There are tests available to book online they cost $210 and you can get a date for sometime in the future plus practice tests.

Husband says that it wasn't a difficult test, there was speaking and listening and a bit of reading and writing. He also mentioned there was one Pakistani man and one English man that were coaching them and telling them how they wanted them to speak (i.e thank God and not thanks God).

You need to specifically state that you are applying for a spouse visa (which is fairly easy to pass as you need a small pass mark) otherwise they will refer you to ielts or toefl and that is harder because its for students.

Sorry its all over the place this is what I've managed to get out of him regarding the English test.

Hope its helped a bit.
Sai

Quick question regarding tracking the application.

Does it show up on the tracking website straight away or does it take sometime? I've managed to find the correct tracking number but its not showing up :S

Or is the site currently out of order?
