Urgent query on maintanence funds

Post by karthikravi » Wed Dec 08, 2010 5:18 pm

Hi,

I have been maintaining funds in my bank account from 13 SEP 2010 and my 90 days complete on 12 DEC 2010. Can I go ahead and apply on 13 DEC 2010 or is it prudent to wait for one or two days after completion and then submit it?

The case worker will calculate 90th day as the day before appln was submitted right?

Yes, if your statements include end of day balances for both (the stated) dates.
13-Sep to 12-Dec = 3 calendar months!

Are you saying it's enough if I submit my bank statement alone?

Yes.

See http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/workin ... intenance/

The personal bank or building society statements should clearly show:

* your name;
* the account number;
* the date of the statement;
* the financial institution's name and logo;
* transactions covering the three-month period;
* that there is enough funds present in the account; and
* that there has been enough money present in the account for the past three months.

If you wish to send electronic bank statements from an online account these must contain all of the details listed above. In addition, you will need to send a supporting letter from your bank, on headed paper, confirming that the statements are genuine. Alternatively, electronic bank statements with the official stamp of the bank that issued the statements will be accepted. The stamp must appear on every page of the statement.

We will not accept statements which simply show the balance in the account on a particular day as these documents do not show that you hold enough funds for the full period required.

Regarding "original" bank statements

Post by sp2010 » Fri Dec 10, 2010 10:52 am

Hi,

I am applying for Tier 1 and got my bank statement from the bank. They issued me original statement printed on their letterhead, but only first page is on letter head paper. Other pages are on normal papers.
They have stamped - sealed all the pages.

Does anyone here think this will cause a problem - as if it is not genuine original ?

Do I need all pages to have the bank logo ?

Please help
Thanks

All pages has to be stamped and signed by the bank so it should be fine.
Logo is not mandatory.
