My husband has a tier 1 visa and his renewal will be complicated. He's a self-employed contractor for a couple of companies, and he's also an officer of a company incorporated in the States (this happened since he got the visa). We're paying taxes in the UK on his income. So does anyone know -- if the company in the U.S. pays him a salary (essentially it would be him and his partner paying into the company for a variety of expenses and taking out salaries) would that count as his income as well?
