We got married here in england, so we applied for a COA so surely thats enough proof that we informed them, it didnt say anywhere that we had to inform them as soon as we got together...thats not something u really think about at the start of a relationship lol and the reason i sent the bank statement with JSA on it is that it also showed my new employment pay transactins....so i didnt think it would be a problem., so do you think now that i have another 4 months bank statements and payslips they will be satisfied that i can support eachother?

I decided to email gerry's to see what happened to the application. This is the reply i got from them.

''Once an application is processed in UK it does not come directly to Gerry’s instead it would land in British High Commission Islamabad for necessary formalities. We at Gerry’s have no control over the process or the process time of an application. We will only be able to arrange collection once we are in possession of your document. We suggest that you log on to www.ukvacpk.com in order to track the status of your application''.

I dont understand whats taking so long because i thort applications after the 25th of October were being processed in Islamabad and not UK?? Also when my husband submitted the paperwork he was told 7 weeks.

If you mentioned you went to Pakistan to get married, and had not met your partner before (like at a family visit) then I think they can say why you did not inform them.
Are you sure about this? Speaking from personal experience this certainly wasn't the case when my wife was granted a spouse visa in October (applied in July). I have not come across any requirement for a British Citizen to inform the UKBA if they are going to Pakistan to get married.

Hopefully 'necessary formalities' means attaching the visa vignette to the passport. Insha'Allah.

Right well ive got everything sorted to send like more payslips and bank statements...im just hopeing thats all they need inshallah! as i dont see how we can supply anyore info with regards to telling them about our relationship starting in 2007? I really hope they over turn the decission cos im exhausted now with all of this its such a pain why cant they just come to your home and interveiw you, that would be so much easyer they could see for them self we are such a happy couple with a lovely home and that by keeping us apart for such a long time is so not fair!

Looking at your last few comments, it appears you are not thinking rationally. First of all you need to state reasons for refusal as per the notice given to your hubby. The raesons might be completely different from what you think you have been refused for.Sending documents etc without seeking advice first from profeesional advisor might not be a good idea.

It is imperative you stay calm, think carefully what you want and how you are going to do. I know sometimes teh reasons given for teh refusal seem unfair, but if you have genuine and valid reasons to counteract their arguments, you will eventually succeed. You need to be patient , and I am sure in the end you will succeed inshallah

Sorry about that i cant really think at the moment my head has just gone completely blank...the 2 reasons for refusal was 1 we didnt inform the UKBA about our relationship in 2007...2nd was that becuase i claimed JSA they didnt feel satisfied that i am able to support him...so im guessing all they need is more financial proof? i really need help but i dnt know what to do

Dilseabassi

As a first point, ask your husband to read the letter to you and share it word for word (reject reasons) with this forum. Im sure the likes of Batleykhan, Casa etc will be able to see what it is asking for.

Secondly, get the aid of an immigration specialist to work through it with yourself and prepare the best possible response in an appeal

Thirdly. Once you have done everything physically possible to respond, put your trust in Allah. as success is only from him.

You are in our Duas and we are here to offer whatever support we can for you through this process.

You need to get your hubby to send you the refusal notice and appeal form as you or your advisor will need to see and complete the appeal on your behalf here in the UK.

Get him to fax them and then send them in post or give them to someone who might be coming here. Your advisor will need to know the excat reasons as per the refusal. Foloow Mintys advice upon receipt of these docs.

Also remeember you have 28 days from receipt of refusal notice by your hubby toi get appeal in otherwise you will have to start from scratch again

ok first thing u need to do is calm down and get the proper wording of refusal letter and type it down here so others can help u with this . COA is a document which u get by giving them proof that where ,when and how u met and how solid is the relationship than they issu u COA that happpend in my case to . about income support and jsa when u started ur new job u should have got the contract of emplyment and when u stopped urlast job p60? if u cant find that u can always go to HMRC for previous history of ur job and u can also get letter from benifit agency how long u was on that jsa and y and when u started ur new job etc . but first t hing first get the proper wording of refusal letter.

How long does it take for your documents to get to the VAC after you get this email saying that

'I can confirm that the application has been processed and you will hear shortly from the Visa Application Centre (Gerry's) about how you can collect your documents'

it can take up to 9 months, but if you get the points why it was refused & make it clear it can take about a month to overturn the decision if not it will go to court then it will take time.

Hopefuly they will overturn the decision.

Sorry to hear about dilseabbassi and unique's refusals.

Am pleased to have seen that dilseabbassi was receiving some 'on-going' support.

You see one person is in need of help but sometimes others post comments which cover the flow of the thread and so it gets harder for others to catch on.
Personally I read most of the times from the last post made by me OR last post which I have read, but there are people here who tend to go for the last page of this thread and read from there, and then they are unable to help out those whose posts are left behind.

I came across this thread in which refusal/appeal discussion is going on (http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... 843#438843) so I suppose the appeal crew can join in there and gather some ideas. It'll work out a whole lot better if REFUSAL members discuss in one thread and APPLICANTS (who are looking to submit new application or who are awaiting a decision) discuss in this one.

One word of advise to those who have had their applications refused, no point in getting upset for any longer than needed, Allah knows best and sometimes we cannot see his reasons but just for your own comfort you can perhaps explore as to what the reasons might be - it sometimes helps.

Edit: Sheeeeshhhhhhh!!!!! Us September applicants just broke a record, most REJECTED applicants all in Sep, that blows! Boooooo!!!!! Best of Luck to the last 2 applicants Sadz and Tameena!
