Exact period for Previous earnings calculation

Post by vdabs » Tue Dec 14, 2010 2:22 pm

I am planning to apply for Tier 1 visa on 29th Dec 2010.

1) Does Sept 2009 earnings come under 15 months period if I apply on 29th Dec 2010? Period is allowed to be shown under last 15 months earning?

2)I am planning to claim the points for the period - 1 Oct 2009 to 30 Sept 2010.

On 2nd Oct 2009, I received the salary of Sept 2009. Am I allowed to show the amount received on 2nd Oct 2009 as my previous earnings for the above period(1 Oct 2009 to 30 Sept 2010)?

I am getting contradicting responses from different sources.
My application is entirely based on salary after the inclusion/exclusion of Sep salary in previous earning. Guys please help.

In my opinion, yes you can claim for the 'September salary' as it is regarded as the 'income' for Oct.

Think about the case of non-salaried persons where the gap between the work/services done and date of actual payment can be months or years.

I think you might still get contradicting response though...

As far as I know I don't think you can claim.
In your payslip it is going to clearly say that its for the sept 2009. I dont think any body who is employed will get the pay first and then work, its the other way around. This is just my opinion.
Try contacting some consultancies and ask them if you can claim. Be careful, they can easily misdirect you. take only what you want.

I can confirm that the company I'm working for pays senior staff (I'm one of those) on the 6th for the work done that month.
