Thank you for your prompt response. The weird thing is that I have no immigration history whatsoever. Plus, I have never been to the UK before. Sorry for confusion. My wife wrote the first post. Anyways, both of us live in Canada, and my wife was only born in the UK and then moved here. Now we are trying to move to the UK for good.
