Can seniors please throw light on my query?

The date of application (from within UK) for Tier 1 (G) is considered as the date of posting (as per UKBA guidelines), however, if the application is not decided up until the new rules are in place (from Apr-11), will it mean that the application will then be decided under the new rules in place from 1st Apr 11?

For examples, application sent by post on 15th Mar'11. Not decided by UKBA until 31st Mar'11. The status of the application w.e.f 1st Apr'11?

No. They will consider the rules on The Date of Application, but not date of decission.

However, can you or any other seniors/moderator please post a link to immigration rules which clearly define the rules regarding decision based on the rules at the time of the application date?

I have tried finding the above statement on UKBA immigration rules but could not. Can you please point me in the right direction?

From T1 general guidance (addendum p. 2):

APPLICATIONS STILL UNDECIDED WHEN THE INTERIM PERIOD OF GRANT ALLOCATION IS OVER
At the end of the interim period, applications that have not been concluded will be considered in accordance
with the new rules that replace the interim limits. Consultation is ongoing on the form those new rules will
take. Therefore, UKBA cannot guarantee that any application will qualify under the new rules, which could be
signifcantly diferent than those rules in operation for the interim limits.
