Tier 2 (ICT) to Tier 1 Switch

Post by AdInUK2010 » Tue Dec 21, 2010 7:17 pm

At present I am working in Tier 2 (ICT) visa in London.

Now I want to switch to Tier 1 Visa & I am meeting all the criteria.

I have following questions.

1.Do I need to inform my company about the switch?

2.If I switch to Tier 1 then will my Tier 2 (ICT) be cancelled or Can I have both Visa in my passport?

3.If my Tier 2 (ICT) is cancelled then within what timeline I need to start working for different company?

hi

1-I dont think you need to inform companyif you dont want to.
2-your new visa starts as soon you get it .
3-your new visa will replace your old visa.

You should, unless you want to annoy your employer. Employers must inform UKBA when a sponsorship ends.

And if you do not inform your employer they will not be able to inform UKBA and may end up being penalised because of your apprehension. The end result may not be to your liking, so why take chance?
