We didnt hear any such news that Tier 1 will be closed in DEC 2010.What is your source of information?rishita wrote:Dear Seniors,
I Applied for Tier 1 General from India on 17 Dec 2010.
At the VFS center i was told that as the December 2010 limit is full,my application will be processed in January 2011.
I got the Status message from VFS that my visa application, reference no XYZ has been despatched to the British High Commission on 17/12/2010 for processing.
Will my Visa Application be considered in January 2011?
I am very worried as there is news that tier 1 will be closing in December 2010 as the cap is reached.
Where do my application stand?

Your application will be processed as normal since it was submitted before Dec 23.rishita wrote:Dear Seniors,

I don't think that is the case. If your application is approved then you will get the visa. There is no "lawful pool" it seems.aliq09 wrote:rishita wrote:Dear Seniors,
Hi ,
I really hope you will get your visa but few things i must mention here .... Once your application will go for processing , you will get 2 out comes 1) accepted and 2 not accepted . If it's no:1 option you can't do any thing as the whole TIER1 is closed . If you are accepted i.e 2 your application must need a visa from the allocated pool . Now , if they don't have any visa in the pool than of course you will not get any visa . Allot of people already waiting for pool so it all now depends on your luck! and i wish you best of luck!
shudnt every successful application before 23rd dec be granted a visa as the entire 600 cap was deemed unlawful ?aliq09 wrote:

It makes it sound like, since they announced they closed allocations for December they will stick to it, but it doesn't say much about whether they will allocate visas in batches from January onwards or just issue them all as they are approved. Pure speculation...I'm reading what I want to read, I'll be honest.Applications that were submitted up until the end of 22 December 2010 will be processed as normal, although under our monthly monitoring system we have already announced that we will not start issuing Tier 1 (General) visas again until January 2011.
Whilst people won't fall under the cap, they will probably only get their visas next year.Applications that were submitted up until the end of 22 December 2010 will be processed as normal, although under our monthly monitoring system we have already announced that we will not start issuing Tier 1 (General) visas again until January 2011.
