Documentations required for Family Visa (Parent's visit)

Post by wphsmpteir1 » Thu Dec 23, 2010 4:07 pm

Hi,

I am hoping to invite my inlaws to the UK for a visit. I and my spouse have recently got ILR together at PEO, Croydon.

I am wondering the list of documents I need to send to In-laws and do they all need to be in originals or copy would suffice.

1) 6-months salary slips (Original or Copy)
2) 6-months bank statements (Original or Copy)
3) Letter from Employer - (Original or Copy)
4) Council Tax - Copy
5) Tenancy agreement - First Page - Copy
6) My passport - Copy
7) My wife's passport - Copy
8 ) Covering Letter
9) Copy of last P60
10) Water/Electricity Bill - Copy

For 1), 2) and 3) I am not sure if it has to be in original or signed copy would be OK.

Thanks

Please advise.

You may also wish to include original documents showing your in-law's ties to their home country, e.g. if they are working there, have property, financial committments, other family etc. and a statement on what they intend to do in the UK.
