CB9.4 Validity of entry clearance
ECB9.5 What if applicant is not intending to travel straight away to the UK
My question is how shall I apply for post dating?
Regards,
That applies when they are processing your visa, not after you have received it.tetis100 wrote: Thanks, it is right but please consider these:

Could you further elaborate or provide me a link to where I could read more about this?wunder wrote:No, one does not have to enter UK by a certain date - but if you will enter after the first 28 days you will need to extend your Tier 1 visa not once but twice before you will be able to get ILR in 5 years.
You can enter UK at any time as long as you hold a valid VISA. What Wunder is highlighting is the unnecessary hassle of applying for an additional extension to meet the 5 years (provided it remains 5 years) settlement criteria. The earliest one can apply for settlement is 28 days prior to meeting the above criteria. The clock for 5 year qualifying period starts kicking when you enter UK for the first time. Hope it makes sense now.MattDell wrote:Could you further elaborate or provide me a link to where I could read more about this?wunder wrote:No, one does not have to enter UK by a certain date - but if you will enter after the first 28 days you will need to extend your Tier 1 visa not once but twice before you will be able to get ILR in 5 years.

If you do, we may refuse your application with no refund of the application fee (where a fee is charged). However, you must make your application before your current permission to stay in the UK expires.
