T1(G) Dependent visa for a new born...

Post by antouk » Fri Dec 10, 2010 9:19 am

Hi all,

I am planning to process T1 (G) dependent visa for my child born in india. My wife is already under T1(G) dependent visa. Now the problem is, currently i am not employed and searching for work.

I already have the required funds in my bank account for showing fund maintenance. Do i need to be in employment to process dependent visa? or Do i need to show employment related proofs?

You dont need to have job in hand while u apply for ur dependent visa.. u shd have the required maintenance funds, proof documents like DOB certificate, etc.. job is not mandatory..

I am in the UK and I have to also apply for my daughter's dependant visa for the first time. What kind of proof of funds are required?

I can get the bank statement for the past 3 months. Also my 3 months salary slips. But I asked the bank about a statement confirming I have had funds and that they have been banked for 3 months and they refused to give me one!

Please help me with this query!

Ramesh, then in that case should we leave the sections blank where they are asking for job details on the VAF-10?

As long as you have genuine and original bank statements and they show that you have had the required funds for last three months you're good to go. There is no need to get extra letter from the bank
Goodluck.
