Mehandi an issue for biometric for Dependent Visa.

Post by LearningCurve » Sun Jan 02, 2011 5:45 pm

Hello folks,

Just wanted to post a piece of information.

A friend who's been in the UK on Tier 1 for sometime now, travelled back to hometown got married and within 2 to 3 days of the wedding applied for dependent visa.

They VFS sent his wife back saying they couldn't get the biometrics with the Mehandi work in both her hands. So they had to rush to a nearby beauty parlour, dip her hands in some kind of mild acid based solution to get the mehandi off and rush back to the VFS office and thankfully it worked. She got the visa in 5 days and both are now in the UK.

Thankfully things worked for them, but never had he anticipated that biometrics could turn out be an issue.

So if there are guys planning to submit an app immediately after the wedding, watch out for the mehandi work. Might want to keep it low :-)

Cheers,
LC
