Good afternoon everyone,
Just got off the Department of Justice website www.justice.ie and noticed that a new fee has been introduced called 'Fee for Immigration Regristration Certificates' or more commonly called, the GNIB cards!
This fee of 100 Euros will be in place from May 27th onwards on all subsequently issued GNIB cards. Some people are exempt from the fee (refugees, under 18s, spouses of Irish citizens & some dependents of EU nationals). The fee must be paid when we register with the Garda Immigation officals as we are required to do if we are staying over 90 days.
Payment must be either bank giro or credit/debit card. Check out website under the Publications link within the Citizenship/Immigration section for publication document dated May 18, 2006.
Regards,
Maria, The Frustrated
