Thank you everyone in the forum...you all have been very resourceful and informative in helping me apply for HSMP. I think without the postings by the people in this forum, I would have been very lost and would not have been able to submit my application.
I am so elated and relieved, yet still in quite a shock that I got it. At first, I was a little suspicious when I received the package in my mailbox and to find that all my documents and the approval letter have been returned to me so quickly. But the suprising thing is I was expecting a reference number emailed to me first before they return all my stuff. I checked my email everyday for the reference number but never received it until the day I got my approval letter together with my documents. Is this the usual case cos it seems a bit inconsistent to what they say is their usual process (that is why I am a bit suspicious whether I got a approval or not eventhough the letter says I did)? They have totally skipped the part of issuing me a reference number when my cc was charged and my documents handed to a caseworker.
Anyway, below is a summary of my application process:

Bachelor degree qualification - 15 points
4 yrs graduate level experience - 35 points
Partner's achievements - 10 points
Under 28 - 5 points
Documents sent using DHL - 27 April 2006
Documents received by Home Office - 2 May 2006
Credit card charged - 5 May 2006
Original documents and approval letter sent by Work Permit using Royal Mail - 9 May 2006
Documents received - 19 May 2006
