Further Consideration....

It is happening to my friend who apply for Tier 1 General VISA on March 2010. Currently he is waiting for the home office decision. He had been calling to the HO four time during the period, only feedback he has getting were further consideration the application. (July 2010-up to date).

he is pretty desperate due to the fact that he cannot change his job without the passport and cannot go for overseas. Current PSW Visa due to expires in March 2011.

He is afraid to request the passport because HO may refuse the Tier 1General VISA.

It would be helpful if anyone could advice on this matter.

HO possibly does some verification checks. If he request for his passport before the decesion is made then his application will be considered as withdrawn (not rejected). Given that he has already waited for so long it may be better to wait until the decesion is being made.

It is not advised to request for the passport. As mentioned by fellow member, it classes as Application Being Withdraw and not "Rejected". If you mate is worried that, what happens because of his visa running out in March 11 - Well, he is entitled to stay and work as per his previous visa condition, until HO decides his case. So in your mates case, he is on PSW in say April 2011. He is legally entitled to work FT for any employer, until the day HO makes decision, one way or the other that is.
