Settlement visa for spouse---Help needed

Hi All,
I am looking for the list of documents required to show adequate maintainence for a settlement spouse visa, I am running my own limited and company for the past 1 year and I am drawing a salary of £12000/- per Year and some money as dividends. Also can you please point me to a sample sponser letter.

Just a suggestion but if you have no wage slips as you run a Ltd Co you could provide your business accounts and then back up with your bank statements to show salary paid to you.

Also do you have a share certificate to explain the dividends

From my experience after applying for this two years ago the more you can give them the better, also add a letter of explanation

Thanks for your reply, I am planning to show my company bank statements along with my personal bank statements for the salary and dividends. Can you also please point me towards a sample letter for the Sponsor as I understand it's very important to get it proper.

im not sure where you would find a sample letter, try the 'ind' website

I set mine out in accordance with the rules (which you can definately get off the IND wesbsite) i headed each paragraph with the rule and then answered underneath how we met it, this makes it easier for them when considering the application and also ensures you have considered each one so you have not left anything out


i just put in mine for my husbands application everything from how we met how many times we had visited each other i told them that in addition we called each other very regulary and attached my phone bills, i detailed my income, the expenses showing them what is left each month to support us to show we didnt need benefits, where we were going to live and the size of the house, how many rooms etc etc
