Student visa - Ireland

Post by jjloubser » Fri Jan 14, 2011 7:04 am

I have seen some threads relating to some new rules for the irish student visa - it seems that theyr might be some changes on the way with regard to the length of post- graduate study stay for Masters & Phd courses, restriction on dependant rights etc

Does anyone know where we can find some more info, as I was planning to come over to Scotland to do my MBA next year, but the current political climate has made the UK a very uncertain place for possible students.

There is a new system in place for International students in Ireland that they have to finish their Bachelors/Masters in a certain amount of time...

UK still has the most favourable system for postgraduate students when comparing IRL/UK, that is if you have done Masters you can get PSW work visa for 2 years (after certain terms & conditions), here in Ireland it is called Graduate scheme and visa is only valid for 6 months upon completion of your Masters.

For finding suitable unis in UK this is the best site...
