Tier 1 general application

Hello All,

I will be applying for Tier 1 General Visa soon. I have earnings from full time employment and self employed employment. I have the following documents for Full time earnings

1. 12 Months Payslips
2. 12 Months Bank Statements
3. Letter from employer

from Self-employment

1. Business bank statements
2. Letter from accountant
3. Contract letters from clients
4. Copies of Invoices that I have sent to my clients.

I would appreciate if anyone of you or who has been in a similar situation before and have succeeded in obtaining the Tier 1 Visa. PLease let me know if I require any other documents and some important advice which would be helpful in this situation.

Should the invoices be attested by my accountant?

please let me know if it is ideal to apply by post of by applying in person (premium same day service).

Hi,
From self-employment you must submit evidence of the self-employed status, together with the normal evidence of their earnings.
The following documents can be used to demonstrate self-employed status, and 2 of the documents should be submitted along with evidence of earnings:
· Employers Liability Insurance;

· Proof of registration with HMRC as self-employed or as an employer to PAYE pay and NI;

· Certificate of VAT registration with latest VAT return;

· Latest annual self-assessment tax return to HMRC;

· Latest corporate/business bank statement with letter from bank; or

· Proof of ownership or lease of business premises.
