Waiting for biometric card since november

got my approval letter in early november after waiting for ages after tier 2 extension application under transition. Letter said call a number if biometric card hasnt turned up after 10 days. Did and have been doing so since november.They keep on telling me i have to wait and that it will come but hasnt and we are in january. Has anyone had this issue recently?

Sorry to hear that, but your situation is actually better than mine. it has been about 9 weeks til now, and i have not got any news from HO since posted my extension application on 12th Nov :cry: ... God knows what's going on there?!! Pretty shit!

my decision took a whopping 16 and a half weeks to come after biometrics so yes it sometimes takes that long 4 a decision so ur situation is not an exception.really wish u the best of luck.take care.

What :shock: ?! 16.5 weeks, bloody hell! HO really sucks!

Anyway, sorry mate, i forgot to metion that i've done the biometric. And here is my timeline so far:

1. Type of application:In-country Extending Work Permit to Tier 2 (under Transitional Arrangements)
2. Date of expiry of current leave (visa): 17 Jan 2011
3. Date application posted: 12 Nov 2010
4. Biometrics taken: 9 Dec 2010
5. Nothing heard ...

Would you mind to paste yours?

i have been calling them regularly since november and i can confirm they are useless. keep on telling me wait till friday of whatever week i am calling and if it isnt in then call them. i do and they tell me the same thing.so useless they are. applied under transition so ilr due in june.Can i apply 4 ilr with just the letter if the card never arrives?

Application sent- 23 June 2010
Biometrics done- 6th July 2010
Approval/decision received- 8th November 2010 yes 8 November!!!
Biometric Card- Still not arrived.Absolutely Ridiculous

I do understand what you are saying Sush D Mehta but in a worse case scenario if by june it hasnt been sent i have to apply as it would be lesser of two evils in the fact that i would rather apply going by the dates on my last stamp (transition application would give me time of 1year till 5 needed FOR ILR) than risk it expiring without me knowing. i JUST DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.

Finally got the biometric card today. The whole process started in March 2010 with the sponsorship reference number application. From sponsorship ref application to me physically getting the biometric card today took 9 months. dont even know what to say. Relieved and frustrated.

I hope your Card is back with you now..

I have to apply for extension as I have 9 days gap to qualify for ILR..( :(

A)Could you please tell us here what document you have attached for extension?

B) when one can qualify for extension?( Did you apply early??)

C) If you apply with dependent, Was it on same form?
