Tier 1 application from a tourist in London

Hi All,

Will my application for a Tier 1 general visa be accepted if I submit it from within the UK before April 2011?
Currently I have a C-Visit-Business multiple entry visa valid till May 2011 and intend to travel to the UK within a month.

Will appreciate any advice.

See Immigration Rules, para 245c(f). To be granted leave to remain under Tier 1 General you must last have been given leave to remain in one of the categories listed in this paragraph.

Well your idea is good but unfortunately you dont stand under the in country application pre-requisites ...

Your option is T2 at the moment

Actually I have a C-Visit-Business visa, so what are my chances if I apply as a business person, according to para 245c(f), bullet (xii)

You are a "business visitor", not a "businessperson".

Can I switch into another category while I am in the UK as a business visitor?

You are not allowed to change into any category for which permission to come under the points- based system is needed.
