Earning - 15 month period

Post by newavenues » Mon Jan 24, 2011 2:20 pm

Hello Forum Members

My tier1 visa will be eligible for extension on March 21 2012. I plan to apply for extension somewhere around 3rd or 4th week of Feb 2012.

I will not have recieved my Feb 2012 Month Salary slip. My question is when does the 15 month period starts in that case? Based on the calculation of ignoring Feb 2012, the 15 months period starts on November 2010. Is that Correct?

AFAIK, if your case, you can simply provide 12 pays slip from Jan 2011 to Jan 2012 . Of course this is based on the assumption that the policy of Tier1 extension remains the same as of today.

I am not entirely sure as I just used the previous 12 month so you should email or call home office to confirm.

But the police guide says(page 17):
1>
The applicant can claim points for 100. previous earnings in any single, consecutive 12-month period during the 15 months immediately before the date of applying.

2>
All the periods we specify are calendar 101. months (for example 14 January – 13 February).

So if you are planning to apply for extension say at 21 Feb 2012, your 15 month period should start at 21 Nov 2010.

Again so you should email or call home office to confirm this.

That's actually 13 months, not 12 :)

If you apply in the third week of Feb (say the 14th), then your 15 month period is 14 November 2010 to 13 February 2012 (adjust the dates accordingly). You can pick any 12 month period during that time.
Do not send me PM's with specific questions - post question in the open forum so others can also benefit from the answers.
