Hey congrats mate! Happy for you. I propose a name change for you. How about "Big-time Irish" :D and please hang around as am sure you know there are lots on this forum who would benefit from your experience and hey let's keep pushing for the long overdue reform of the Irish Immigration system.

See you around

Congratulations to ya All who received their approvals recently (2008 batch),

I sent yellow form (oath) along with other documents on 05 Jan 2010 back to DoJ. Still waiting for the certificate though.

Anyone who has sent there’s recently as well, would like to share their experience on the current waiting times?

Wait asrpb....you'll get it next week.
Prepare your photos, birth cert original and translated in English and that it, off to a passport.

Nanette, your last prediction was spot-on. Let see this one as well
:) and if you hit time as well, I'll buy you a drink (only Guinness though).

A friend of mine had to wait nearly 2 months for his But that was a while back. Maybe things have changed now.

BTW how has been your experience so far with your passport with harp :) I mean while travelling in & out of EU.

Well, I only drink Guinness these days....Nice drink.
Well my experience with the passport is that I have been only to France (Paris and Bordeaux)....The experience has been wonderfull. Go at Dublin airport buy a ticket and fly to Paris for a party happening in the evening. NO VISAAAAAAA.

At immigration in Bordeaux, they scanned my passport which was fair enough and that was it.
Many times at Paris, they don't even look at the data inside...Just the harp cover let me by. (who ever has an harp should try flying...:)- )

9jrein was in the USA and good experience for him as well...smoooooth.

I plan to travel to USA around the summers.....smooooth.

When you get your passport, just fly out somewhere for a weekend.

An irish passport is worth it.....NO MORE VISA crap at embassies.

See where you can go now without visa:

Keep us updated.

Called DoJ this morning. Nice lady on the phone told me that she herself printed my Cert yesterday and now it has to be signed & sealed by minister. Once they have a GOOD FEW of them printed, only then they send them to Minister @ Dublin.

According to her I could be waiting another 1-2 weeks or even another month :?
