3 years visa- contact ukba?

Post by spfc » Fri Jan 07, 2011 5:31 pm

My initial Out of Country T1G application was approved for a period of 3 years instead of 2 years.

Do you guys recommend contacting ukba to check if the visa needs to be re-issued or should I rely on the date stamped on the visa vignette and simply forget it?

Would this led to a problem when I try to extend it?

Tks

You should definetly bring this to the notice of BHC, otherwise later on you might face difficulty after 2 years or when you go for extension.

Does somebody know what was the item '(a) DELETED' from the link bellow?

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/polic ... es/part6a/

==================
245D. Period and conditions of grant

(a) DELETED.

(b) Leave to remain will be granted for a period of 3 years, to an applicant who has, or was last granted,
leave:

(i) as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant under the rules in place on or after 6 April 2010,

(ii) as a Highly Skilled Migrant,

(iii) as an Innovator,

(iv) as a Self-Employed Lawyer, or

(vi) as a Writer, Composer or Artist.
==================

In my understanding if this was the item saying initial T1G has 2 years and it was deleted prior to my visa issue date, I am really supposed to have 3 years.

Or there is somewhere else stating 2 years for initial T1G?

Hi,

I am bit confused, i had changed my visa status from Work permit to Tier1 in Nov 2009 and my visa granted upto Nov 2012. Is the visa generally granted for 2 years or 3 years.?
My Approval letter also have Nov 2012.

Prior to 6 April 2010, initial visas were granted for 3 years. The 2 year validity is only for initial visas issued after that date.

Hi mate, no I didn't... IMO if they granted 3 years I do not have to worry...
