Please advise the telephone numbers of UKBA on which they are letting us know the status of the our application.

Firstly you need to get invitation letter from UKBA to attend cereomony - do you have it?
Then you actually need to book ceremony and attend it.
You need to pick up passport application form from Post Office (do it now as you may find out you don't know the answers to all questions and it will take time to find them), fill it in, got signed by countersignee and post to IPS with enclosed passport, naturalisation certificate, 2 photos and payment slip.
Then IPS will send you documents back and (separately) letter telling you to book passport interview (another week down the pan).
Then you will call them to book interwiev, and as you are from London you may find out their London office (Elephant and Castle) is busy and you will have to wait a little for interview (first available slot was 9 days later in my case and actually only 2 slots were available that day - my OH phoned a few hours later and got slot 11 days later).
Then after the interview it will be a few days to actually get passport via courier.
So you better chill out as it's more marathon rather than sprint.
you can pick up passport application form from PO whenever you wishsoulfullness wrote:Hi All

Also, is it possible to get a certified copy of the passport and send that off or only the original passport is allowed? Thanks.

Hi bhavhit,
I just want to ask, when you called them regarding the status of your application, what did you ask them for? Did you simply ask them the status of your application?
I am asking this because I have got the same application and acknowledgement dates.
Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks

I called them and said that I havent received the acknowlege letter but the payment has been debited from my card.. the lady checked and said that the decision has been made today itself (26th jan).... when i asked abt the decision, she said that she cannot say it over the phone and i should receive the letter in 10 days..... So waiting for the letter now.... just litte bit nervous due to my fixed penalty on driving licence.
Spend extra days in the UK until you do not have total 90 days absent in the last 1 year and then apply for the BC naturalisation.moris wrote:Hello
I am soon apply for my naturalisation for myself under 5yr w.p+1yr Ilr basis, unfortunately i have more than 90 days absent from u.k in the last year.
Will it affect my application in any way,is there any exemption for it please could any one tell me any remedy for it to come over this hurdle
Thanks in advance
If absent due to business reason then provide letter from company. I had a same issue (around 110 days out), provided letter from my company and all done .moris wrote:Hello
