Question on VAF1B Family Visitor

Post by sva19 » Tue Jan 18, 2011 8:27 pm

My brief is - My Mother and brother are applying for 6 month tourist visa and i'm unsure what question 8.6 is refering to, is it asking who

If completing my Mother application I will write :-

8.4 Please name the relative you will stay with
I have put my my name down here

8.6 Will any other relatives be staying here at the same time as you? Put a cross (x) in the relevant box. If ‘Yes’ please give details
I will write my Brother name as he also coming and goining to live here. But I unsure whether this question ask for current people staying here, i.e my husband and children, do I need to write their names?

Hope this is clear and someone can help, ask again if unclear.

ECO will make a decision based on documentary evidence submitted. Similar to visitors to the USA, the applicant should show strong ties to the country he/she will be returning to (e.g. - home country).

Give maximum evidence to prove you have no intention to overstay.

i.e family,property,pension, savings ect.

These evidence will make yours case good otherwise ECO can refuse you saying he is not satisfied you would return.

Shahzad
Thanks Both.

My mother will give savings evidence, most is fixed rate scheme which mature in future years i,e 2014 - this should be good

Also has 50% share (Other 50% is in each sons name) in 2 flats in City - so got property to show.

As for family, other than what I write above , how can one show evidence of strong family ties?

The son who is also applying owns a CAR, I notice on another post someone submitted "CAR DOCS", is this something extra that can be put in the application to promote ties with Home country. Other than it just says he owns a car but could it count for something?

To show ties to the country my mother plan to show fixed rate deposits of around RS 5 lakh. BUT she has more up to RS 20 Lakh - should she show the whole lot?

Will we need to explain / show evidence where money come from , it basically long Term savings from my father income, retirement money etc.

Ya show all and give evidence from where these funds come from.

Shahzad
Hi shahzad,

You say show all evidence but what if this is my father income form 10yrs- 20 yrs plus and father has passed away some 5 yrs ago. My mother will not have tax certifcate to show the money was from my father income?

Is this going to be a big problem, that all savings has to be linked to earning certifcates etc? Even in UK we could not do too much of that for , we have have a few years P60's but not dating back 10 - 15 years?

FEW QUESTION UNANSWERED

Post by sva19 » Tue Jan 25, 2011 11:44 am

I have a few question posted on the forum that still not been answered I have add them here I hope someone can help:-

Q1.

Q2.
The applicants documents all should be original. But what if the person reluctant to send original with application, I.e their property docs, fixed rate deposit certificates? I can understand because if they lost they lost all their savings? What you advice on this?

Photocopy document of the Photocopy?

Post by sva19 » Wed Feb 02, 2011 9:20 am

Thanks.

from uk visa website:
You must include the original documents and a photocopy of each document you choose to submit

Property and savings documents will be submitted as Photocopies. The UK visa site says need to submit copy of each document. So would I have you submit copy of a Photocopy? Or is the 1 main Photocopy suffice?

Part 8 section about your visit, it got the below question.

Post by sva19 » Mon Feb 28, 2011 8:33 pm

In Part 8 section about your visit, it got the below question.

Reading this as the person applying is a indian national with a indian passport, I have put the answer to this question as " N/A" as the person applying IS A NATIONAL.

Is this correct?

Question 8.1 If you are not a national of the country in which you are applying, what permission do you have to stay in that country?
