Hi all, i just enquiring for one of my freind who has recently brought his famely on settlement visa. he and his one son has british passport but other two hasn't and they have got endosed " no recourse to public fund" on the passport.
he is bit confused as some one has advised him to apply for child benefit for all childern he's asked to help.

can he apply child benefit for all of the childerns or not?

any reply is highly appreciated.

yes if your friend has recourse to public funds (i.e. because he is British) then he can claim child benefit even if the children have no recourse.

and how about if the personne has adual irish/british applying under eea2 (hasband non eea) based on her irish nationality would that affect her application if she does take child bnefit?
and how about housing benefit ?

my wife is irish only recently she was british and then she did receive housing benfit for almost a year she just stopped it befor we apply for an eea1 and eea2,we have a baby british because of her mum we stillreceiving child benefit on her name only
are we at all in accordance with the regulation EC1chapter 12?

Errr, sorry but have you actually looked through the chapter? You give some details except the relevant one. In what capacity does your partner exercise treaty rights? Match this with the text.

self sufficent with medical insurance.sorry for that but i did read the chapter just trying to make sure that we are on the right side

Then you better read it again, in particular the last paragraph. It will obviously depend on your personal circumstances. The burden of proof will be on you.
