Payment not deducted still...

Post by curiouscharles » Fri Feb 04, 2011 9:50 am

Home Office retrieved my application from the Durham PO box late Tuesday afternoon. I opted to pay by debit and i have yet to have yet to have any money deducted from my account. I'm worried I've messed up somehow, is this an unheard of amount of time for a payment to be processed?

If I did, indeed, forget to date my signature or something - would it be possible to Fourier them a cheque, bank draft, or postal order before they send my application back?

did you not photocopy the stuff you sent to them????

and its ONLY 3 workin days since it was received.... calm down....

people often wait atleast 7 days before start wondering what ukba is doing with their fees!

cheers

if you are really REALLY nervous....

then i suggest you fill out change of circumstances form and send them a check. incase they process your debit card just fine, they will just return back your check and no harm done....

hope you see my point

cheers

see, that's what i was hoping someone would suggest ;p

you don't think that's too late now?
should i still send the COC form to sheffield? will they even bother forwarding it to durham to process the cheque if need be?

should i also include the payment page of my application form again?

thanks for this arsenal

its UKBA's responsibility to send your CoC form to wherever your original application is.

do make it clear though... why you are sending check in your app.

cheers

ps. you could send the original debit card detail page again as well, just to be on safe side, and ask them to process your debit card, failing that, use the check enclosed....

missed the last saturday collection by 10 minutes :/ won't get there until tuesday, will this be too late? I included a cheque, and a redone page 6 of the application form, AND a covering letter explaining everything and pleading for their understanding and consideration...

*sorry for all the questions, it's my lunch break and i wanna get these all out before i have to ignore this board again for a few hours

Just wondering - I sent a letter of endorsement from my bank manager the day after sending my original application, which arrived actually the same day durham managed to take my app out of their PO box - do you think this might have slowed things down as well?

once your app is received at durham.... its their job to send it to one of ukba offices located throught cthe country.... so your app will not be processed at DURHAM in all likelihood.

i would like to think that they have an electronic system in place where they can notify the caseworker online that the applicant has sent CoC and they should wait until they have received more info before making final decision.....

send it via sp. delivery... i personally dont think your fees would have been processed by tuesday either...

just to give an indication...i sent my app on thursday....received by them on friday.... and had to wait until a week on wednesday to find that they processed my fees (postal order, supposedly the quickest payment method)

So, i think its not late at all

cheers

wait - so your fee was processed on the first wednesday after ur app was sent? Or the following one?

i already sent the papers out - told the post office that i wanted the fastest option - cost me 6 pounds for a few pieces of paper so i'm hoping it's fast
