Joint Application - Docs for Self Employed

Post by ibtechie » Sun Feb 06, 2011 1:20 am

I will be making joint application. I understand i need to fill 2 forms but do I need to send seperate documents for my wife as well? My wife has been self employed for the last one year, do we need to arrange below or my P60s/salary slips for last 6 years will be sufficient.

Documents required for applications from self-employed people
If you do not pay tax through Pay As You Earn (PAYE) arrangements, you should provide:
the most recent HM Revenue and Customs self assessment statement of account.

Thanks

Joint application is only for less application fee of £1010 together. Otherwise application wise just treat them as separate individual case. In your case, just produce the required tax papers if your wife is self-employed.
