non eu wife hold valid residence card in non valid passport

hi everyone

i would like to get advice regarding my case plz.

my wife got her residence card[family member of eu national] valid till sep 2014. on her old passport(non valid passport)

she got now a valid 10 years permanent residence in her new passport.
that mean she got two residence cards both valid but one on non valid passport

myself i got portuguese and british passport. and we want to go to france.

can she travel without applying for french shengen visa?

In principle, yes, see this document (page 91). I would not necessarily assume that the old RC is still valid although it shouldn't make a difference.
