Tier 1 extension passport expiry

Post by meratier1 » Tue Feb 08, 2011 8:31 pm

Hi Guys,

I have a query regarding my tier1 extension. Actually currently I m having two years visa and expect it to extend for next 3 years but my passport is valid only for next 2.5 yrs once my first tier1 expires. So what should I do in this case. Can I apply for extension and get the 2.5 yrs Tier1 extension or is there a strict rule that my passport should be available for next 3 yrs and tier 1 extension can't be given for less than 3 yrs.
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks guys

regards

you will get extension for 3 years and the visa will be good with your new passport too, once you get it.
cheers,

Thanks for your quick reply nks. So what you are saying is, it doesn't matter what my passport expiry date is. They will give me 3 yrs visa extension and I can use that visa with my new passport (which of course i'll get once the existing one expires). right ?
