Tier 1 General: 28 days rule

Post by zahid.ali.anwar » Wed Feb 09, 2011 5:36 am

Hi Everyone,

I will really appreciate, if anyone can guide me to the 28 days rule of home office. Where can I find this on UKBA website? Everyone is talking about this rule, but I couldn't find on home office website.

Secondly, I might be short of 20 days to apply for ILR. I know I need an extension. Can I apply for ILR as soon as I get my passport back from home office. Mean to say, that if my leave is finishing on 31 Aug 2012. I apply for extn. As soon as I get my passport back, the 20 days time would already passed. So Can I send my passport back for ILR the very next day I get it back from Home Office.

Pls direct me....

28 days rule with respect to .... initial entry to UK ... applying for settlement.

Yes. Alternative, you may wish to follow this approach, if the directions do not change in the interim.
