Applying ILR if passaport valid time passed?

Hello,i want to know about ILR.
I will apply for ILR 1 year later but my passaport valid time is passed now.
Can i apply with this passaport?
What can be if i apply by passaport which is no valid time?

most immigration application do insist on a valid passport. why don't you renew your passport ASAP?
