Exchange Rate - Query

Hello everybody,

Just want to know how do they calculate exchange rate on the salary.

Do they take sum total of last 12 months salary and use the exchange rate of the date of applying?

or

Do they take one month at a time and apply the exchange rate of the payment date and do the calculations for complete 1 year?

Actually for earnings, the rate on the last day of the period you are claiming for should be used.
