Haven't received UKBA acknowledgement letter after 2 weeks

Post by t1g2010 » Fri Jul 30, 2010 12:51 pm

My documents were posted via Royal Mail Next-day delivery on Friday, 16 July. Up to now, I have not received the acknowledgment letter from the UKBA. My application was prepared and sent by a UK company specialised in work permit application. Can anyone please let me know if it is unusual not having received the acknowledgment letter after two weeks? Is there anything I or the company can do? Thanks in advance.

If the company doesn't know what to do, what are you paying them for?

It is good point. The company seems like a large and credible company. But I wont know the real image until I am through with my case. They told me it is not unusual. But from the information I have collected from various sources, 2 weeks is a bit long. Assurance or advice from the forum members will always be helpful.

still awaiting the letter with Ref. Nr.
some people said if the fee was debited, no need to worry. of course, i am worried, but don't know what to do. The company posted my case on my behalf simply told me to wait.

visa received

Post by t1g2010 » Mon Aug 23, 2010 10:05 pm

Finally received my T1 visa today. Visa is valid for two years starting from 19 Aug.
Many thanks for the very kind support from all of you. The forum has been a great platform for people to share experiences and offer help to each other.

Just a note that might be helpful for the others, my london allowances and USS pension were both counted towards my total earnings as stated by the UKBA.

I am really worried about it. its been week so far ... pleaase if anyone can help me...

Acknowledgement letter not received

Post by abhinavsid » Wed Feb 13, 2013 1:16 am

Hi Friends,

Now I am in this frustrating position. I applied for my TIER 1 Dependent extension on 26th January, UKBA received application on 29th January and payment was deducted on 31st January.

But till today that is 12.02.2013 I have not received any acknowledgement letter. After days of trying to reach UKBA, finally I got through inquiry and lady on the phone suggested to send an application to UKBA sheffield.

I have done the same, and have enclosed a self addressed envelope. I don't know what the hell is wrong but I am facing big problems at my work place because I have not received acknowledgement letter.

Can anyone suggest something different?

Many Thanks for your valuable time and suggestions in advance.
