VISA EXTENSION 4 MONTH AFTERWARDS

Hi there
i just got my visa which is valid till 29 Aug 2011 I am finishing my course
at the end of Aprill . i will be enrolling for level 7 course with the same college my question
1. when shall i apply for my extension
2. when shall i start the new course
3. i need to work full time for 2 month to pay for my course will that affect any issues
4> how much money will i need to show for maintenance
5. for how many month will i need to show bank statement
my plan is from mid april to mid july i am willing to work full time
and these 3 month will be a big help towards finance
if someone can advice me please on the above question

1. i am studying outer london
2.My current course is due to finIshed on 29 April 2011
3. my new course will obviously for a year or more put it 12 month+
4.it starts i think in may dont know the exact date but it is in that month
5.i was thinking to work full time in may and july

BUT RECENTLY I HEARD THAT THE GAP BETWEEN A NEW COURSE IT SHOULD BE NOT MORE THAN 20 DAYS IT THAT TRUE

The current course started on 14 April 2010 and will end Expected End Date 29 April 2011

You should read the UKBA policy guidance on Tier 4 applications to make sure you fully understand the rules

As you are studying with the same institution you can apply at any time before your visa expires. You don't have to apply before you start the new course. However in order to meet the lower maintenance requirements (2 months x £600) you will need to apply within 4 months of completing the first course otherwise you will not qualify as having an 'established presence' as a student.

Not clear on why you are asking when should you start the new course? you should start the new course when the college/university say that it starts. There is no 20 day rule that you refer to. The rule you may be thinking of is that you cannot apply from within the UK to study on a course that starts more than one month after your current leave expires. If your new course starts in May and your leave expires in August you are fine.

You can only work full time during the holidays and at the end of your course. I can't see how you are going to be able to work full time for 2 months if your current course finishes at the end of April and your new course starts in May.

As long as you apply within 4 months of your first course finishing you will have to show £600 x 2 months maintenance = £1200 held for a consecutive 28 day period. In addition to that you will need to show anything you owe in your fees held for a consecutive period 28 days
