In-country applications before 6 April

Post by ratapita » Sat Feb 12, 2011 8:43 pm

Hello,

I see that the new rules after April seeks to liberate the in-country applications from the the limit on CoS. But up to that time , is it correct ,that if your employer is seeking a CoS for an in-country application( mine is to switch from PSW to Tier 2) , it will still come under the interim limit?

Many thanks !

You asked the same thing in other post I think, so yes. If you can wait, you should do so.

Thanks for your replies.
I am having to wait- there is no other option, as my employer (at least the HR ) says they have run out of CoS. But the strange thing is they had promised to do it on the 4th April and since have not said any different, eventhough now the interim limit has been extended to 5th April.

There is a huge risk in that if the new rule and policies prevent me from applying under Tier 2 ( due to an income level/ job type sort of criteria) then I would be left with just 3 days to make a departure, and that's practically impossible!

I have though of writing to the UKBA and asking them about the possibility of an extension in case such a thing happens, but wonder if I would be jumping the gun and getting unncessary attention?
