Limited company dividend vouchers

Post by sun_ksh » Thu Feb 03, 2011 12:48 pm

Hello

I am director of limited company and withdraw dividend and salary.

The home office guidance for any document is to send the originals. My accountant send me the dividend tax vouchers which lists e.g.

Holdings: 50
Rate of dividend per share: 50 pounds
Tax credit: 277.78 pounds
Dividend payable: 2500 pounds

I transfer 2500 pounds to my personal account which I will be using to claim the earnings point for tier -1 general extension purpose.

This tax voucher is send to me as pdf which i print on A4 page and get my seceretary - my wife- sign it. Is this enough? Or do my accountant also needs to sign this?

Will the A4 printout with wet sign treated as "original" document? or

Do i need to print the tax voucher on the company headed paper and get the accountant sign it also?

is the format of dividend voucher correct ? as the home office guidance say to include the gross and net dividend.

My accountant has not handled any case where his one of client required to submit documents for visa purpose- hence i want to be 100% sure. He is certified accountant though.

please advise.

thanks
sunny

Have anybody used " quick-book" pay-slips?. If anybody think that this is an advertisement - my apologies.

For limited company salary slips- me employed as a director of limited company and withdrawing monthly salary:

Have anybody got their "pay-slips" signed by Accountant for applying tier-1 extension ?

Does payslips need to be signed by accountant ?

need to be signed by secretary if director is 100 % owner of company

I don't think that is right. I think you can claim £2777.78 for visa purposes. After all, as regards this one dividend voucher, for tax purposes your income is £2777.78, against which you have a tax credit of £277.78.

How come its £2777.78 ? It is gross dividend right ?
I think home office calculates only Net Devidend ?

adityaisukapalli, UKBA work on gross income, before tax deducted, so on the facts as presented here the gross income is £2777.78.

Or put it another way, why should UKBA have a different policy for say salary compared to dividends? Clearly for salary they take the gross salary, before any deductions. So the same with dividends.

So, that means, I have taken £30k as net dividend. i.e Gross: 33,333.33.
And Gross salary £6000.

So for claiming points, can i claim 33,333+6000 = 39,333 ?
