ThanksYou can apply to extend your stay until you have been in the UK in an eligible category for a total of five years.
If you have been in the UK in an eligible category for five years or more and you want to extend your stay, you must meet the full requirements for scoring points under Tier 2 (General). Alternatively, you can apply to settle here permanently if you meet the settlement requirements - the Settling in the UK section contains more information.
