Gaps in the Stay - Application for ILR

Post by prasadsecure1 » Wed Feb 16, 2011 3:29 pm

hI,

I came to uk on 2nd July 2006 and started working here on WP. In 2007 I got Tier1 (General) Visa.

During recession time, I left UK on 4th June 2009 and came back to UK 28th March 2010 and on permanant employment since then. This is the longest gap in the stay.

I know it is tough but is there any way I can apply for ILR this year June 2011?

I have provied all my travel details below.

02-Jul-06 Came to UK on WP 0
31-Mar-07 Travelled to India 08-Apr-07 Came back to UK 8
14-Oct-07 Travelled to India 17-Nov-07 Came back to UK 34

Switched to Tier 1(General) Migrant Visa in 2007

10-Jun-08 Tier 1 (General) 22-Jun-08 Came back to UK 12
04-Jun-09 Travelled to India 24-Mar-10 Came back to UK 293
18-Sep-10 Travelled to India 31-Oct-10 Came back to UK 43

Total No of Days Absent 390

I have P60 for all these years and filed tax retuns for all years
2006-2007
2007-2008
2008-2009
2009-2010

And for this year I am going to file the return after April.

Siva Prasad

IMHO, the 293 days (single) absence has reset your ILR clock.

During these 293 days I was working in Holland for 4 months. I doubt but would that help in any way?

No. your clock reset when you went away for almost 300 days!
