How many time we can apply for Tier 1 (General) extension

Post by prasadsecure1 » Wed Feb 16, 2011 4:57 pm

Hi,

Is there any limit on number of times we can apply for extension under Tier1 migrant program.

I got Tier 1 in 2008 and got extension last month for two years.
After two years can i apply for extension one more time?

Regards
Siva

You should be eligible for ILR in 2 years time, why would you want another extension? Btw, you can apply as many times as you want, I would guess

There is currently no limit on the number of times you can extend your Leave to remain under Tier 1(G).

I want to ask the same question.
Can Tier 1 (G) be extend more than once? It would be great if someone can provide a link from the official site. I did try but no luck.

Many Thanks

How long can you extend your stay?
If we approve your extension application, you will be able to continue living and working in the UK for a maximum period of three years (or two years if you are currently a Tier 1 (General) migrant whose current permission to stay was granted before 6 April 2010).

At the end of this period, you may have lived continuously in the UK as a highly skilled migrant for five years. You can then apply to settle permanently in the UK. If you are not yet eligible for settlement, you can apply for permission to extend your stay under Tier 1 (General) again.
