post study work and tier 1 general

Post by culio347 » Wed Feb 16, 2011 10:21 pm

I heard the tier 1 general route is going to be closed in april 2011.

I was wondering if this affects students who have been in the uk since 2007(4 years).. and does this mean that graduates before this date in the uk cannot apply for post study work visas after april now the tier 1 general route has been closed.

tier 1 general and tier 1 post study work are separate categories.

Tier 1 general will close for new applicants after 5th April 2011.

We don't yet know the fate of tier 1 PSW.

hi dear, any tier 1 (G) application made after 6 april will be disqualified.

either u are in the country for 6 years or 2 years. after this date there will be no Tier 1 Visa for any one. people who already have this visa they can extend.

for psw no such rule is announced yet but who knows whats going on behind the doors.

after 6 april any if some one want to switch from psw he can only move to Tier 2. for that you need to have a proper job and COS.

but still you will be not eligible for ILR (5 yrs) term period.

Hope this answer clears out ure queury
