do i need BIOMETRIC?

hello frens, i'm still waiting for my tier i general visa. i got acknowledgement letter on 17/10/2010. but since than i havent got any resonse frm HO.
the thing is tht i havent done biometric yet. so do i need to do or its just because it takes time to do. am worried. wht to do. need so advice.

Biometric is only for people who applied after 23Dec.. I would be really worried if i were you. I know people who sent it in late Nov have got the visas in end Jan.

not from 23rd of dec 10 ,from 14 th dec 10 - who applied from this date has to give biometrics as well.

So if i apply without biometric my aplicarion will be rejected or they will call me to do biometric . Got confuse. If i have to do than how to contact. Need help plz
