Query regarding Tier 2 Visa

Hi,

I have applied for Tier 1 Visa and I am still waiting for the result.

Currently i am on Tier 2 Visa and its expiring on 7th March. I have already got the Certificate of Sponsorship for my Tier 2 visa but it's not stamped as my passport is still with UKBA.

Suppose my Tier 1 application gets rejected then in that scenario will i be allowed to stay in UK as i have already got COS for Tier 2 visa? Also how much time it will take for getting the visa stamped?

I would really appreciate if somebody can provide some inputs on the above.

COS is a first stage of the process. next step is you making a Tier 2 application!

do you have any reason to believe your Tier 1 wont get approved?

if not, then tier 2 is safer way to go!
