overstaying

Post by khanr » Wed Jun 14, 2006 8:49 pm

hi i just went down to the PEO to get ILR for my hubby they refused as we were 6 days out of the 28 days max application rule. the reaosn we applied early was that his ec visa was due to expire the next day. the IMM OF said come back next week " we cant refuse to deal with your case" what she effectively said was break the law and you will be ok! weird!

anyway how will this impact on naturalisation next year..... as 1 week of his stay in the uk will me " illegal" what are the rules for Natrulisation is this the same as getting a British Passport?

please help

Can you please clarify your querry?

Do you mean the application was 6 days eraly or late?

Have you got any written evidence of the IOs assertions?
Where there is a will there is a way.
