Hi

Thanks to everybody for their participation. Did anyody get their degrees verified by Naric? Mine was verified by Naric to a lower level in the UK. Im not terribly happy about that, but it is still possible for me to qualify in other areas. I just need to ensure that all the evidence is clear. Approximately how long were your experience letters?

I know how long it takes to compose the application. I am still busy with mine. But rather spend time on it, than waste money.

Hi,

All of my experience letters were of one page.
Around 7 - 8 responsibilities in each.

I didn't go for NARIC.

Thanks

Cuberoot,

How long did NARIC take to get back with the comparibilty statement? They received my documents on 25th May, but still I have not received the statement. It is very difficult to contact them- i always end up in a never ending queue. They did not even reply to my email.
And then mine is a relatively simple case of MSc. Computer Science (well, hope so) from India.

I have seen ppl awarded 15 points who passed out from same university. So my degree is equivalent to UK bachelors degree.

I had provided reference letter having 10-15 bullet points mentioning my roles and responsibilities.

All,

Did you provide notarise Passport copy for age proof? I simply provided xeroxed version of passport copy having mentioned my DOB in it. My previous rejected application I was awarded points without notarised copy. However I am worried now after seeing couple of post where ppl provided notarised copies. Can you guys tell me what evidences you provided for Age proof?

thanks

Hi

I am submitting my original birth certificate as proof of age, just to be safe. But they are not too strict on that type of thing, so dont worry gautat. If anybody tries to forge, they will be rejected at the EC stage anyway. HO will get more money!

rkc, Naric did not take too long, about 2-3 weeks. Did you do an online application? Have you got your reference number and receipt? They did not reply to any of my emails either.

My reference letters are also one page each.

Hi Rocky,

As per the case worker's guidelines

"The period assessed for past earnings is the 12 months prior to the date the application was received by Work Permits (UK)"

So as in your case,ur application was received on 30th May. so shouldn't be a problem.

Or this letter should be simple as it was in my first attemp??

I have wriiten Cover letter with full explanation of all evidences , what not mentioning anything related to first attempt.... I am assuming that they should have my previous record and they can compare that with my existing explantions...

Please advice me on this.....

Hi All,

I have posted my application of 6th June from UK and have received reference no on 8th June.

I have in my application claimed 100 points and I believe that I have attached all the required documents in support of my claim.

Am looking forward in hearing from HSMP team about the status of my application.

Shall keep you updated.

Hi everyone,

I'm an in-country applicant. Sent application by Special Delivery on 10 June. This was delivered to Doncaster office on 13 June.

However I have not received any acknowledgement of receipt, even though I have filled in the return receipt part of the form.

Shoud I be contacting them to chase it up or is it still too early?

Hi Abbas,

My application reached on 1st of June (out of country), but still not reference number. My CC was deducted on 5th. Am a bit worried as I read that Anil Kumar has already got a reference number. Has anyone else with an out of country application received a reference number this month?

Thanks

Hi,

My application has reached HO on 16th June(confirmed on DHL site). I am an out of country applicant. I have made payment by DD.

I have also filled the return receipt part of the form. However from the other posts in the forum,it seems sometimes they do send acknowledgement and sometimes dont.

Shall keep you updated.

busybee_kl, dont be worried, you can contact them to know the status as your CC has already been charged.

Hi all,

I just discovered this board and am glad to find other ppl out there who are going through the same HSMP application process! my application was received by the HO on June 14th (out of country application). However, my CC hasnt been charged yet - am getting a bit nervous as it seems that most ppl's cards get charged within 3 business days..and for me, its been over 5 business days...has anyone else who had their documents received by the HO in the last week had their card charged already?

Good luck to all...

HSMP Application Posted on 12th June

Post by purvil » Wed Jun 21, 2006 6:28 am

HI There...

I found this forum really helpfull... I have one question...I have sent my application on 12th June via Speed-post from India (very stupid of me I know). Has any one ever sent application via speed post? how long usually it takes to reach? Till date my CC has not been charged or got reference number. There is no way Postal department in India can tell me where is my post.

I am also claiming 50 points for my work experience...I am currently working as a General Manager in private company. I have been working for the same company for the past 10 years....last 5 years i am working as a General manager managing around 35 people. From the forum I found that getting perfect points for work experience is the biggest hurdle...can any one suggest if i will get 50 for work experience ?

So I guess Have to wait and watch...share any similar experience...

Hi Purvil,

I also sent my review form (not the original documents) through speedpost, Ahmedabad and it took 5 working days to reach there. It should have been reached by now. Please email to hsmp team and get confirmation about receipient of the same. They will reply in 2-3 working days.

About getting 50 points for senior/specialised role you need to read guidance note carefully. They would like to see how senior the position was, showing hierarchy of the company. Below are the contents from Guidance note. Also refer to Case Workers manual for evidences and supporting documents.

"you will note that senior level work experience would normally be a role at board level with in a small company where there would be evidence of your active involvement in the day to day running of the company. For a larger company, the expectation is that evidence provided to demonstrate that you have ultimate control of a sector of the business such as Department Head or leader of a project management team. A specialist position is one, which would require a very high level of technical or artistic expertise"

englandbound,

The process is like when your document reaches to payment gateway (doncaster) they would process it in 2-3 business days. When Transaction is approved from Master/Visa card, it again takes 2-3 days after Merchant (HO) claims for the same. This is how credit card like MasterCard works.

for e.g. my application reached to HO on 8th, I contacted on 10th credit card vendor through call centre and they told me that transaction of XX amount has been approved from our end but transaction will be completed after merchant claims for that amount and if merchant doesnt claim in 28 working days it will be cancelled. And in my case HO claimed the same on 12th and I was able to see that transaction henceforth.

Just confirm with your bank whether it has been approved or not.

Dear All,

I have submitted my documents on June 5th through DPEX and the consignment was delivered on 9th June. i have sent a DD the status of which is being tracked by me.

I have mailed HSMP team HSMP.Workpermits@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk asking for the status andthey have replied on 20th june stating "Dear applicant

Thank you for your email.

We do not appear to have received your application yet as there is no record
of it on our system. However, it is probably in the care of the payment
department all applications are initially sent to. It tends to take two
weeks for them to process and despatch applications to us.

If a completed acknowledgement form was included, we will contact you as
soon as we are in receipt of your forms."

Is this the same mail id to which we need to send mail. i am really tensed now. please confirm.

guatat,
Thanks for your reply. I agree with you abou the process. The reason I'm getting nervous is that its been 6 business days since receipt of my application and my credit card still has not been charged - I called up the CC company to ask them about pending transactions and it isnt even on the pending transactions list yet. Which is worrying...I cant figure out if they are having delays because the payment processing center changed or they lost my application or what.....getting a little nervous..
