Maintenance funds for dependants

Could some one clarify if 3 months statements is a mandatory requirement to show for dependant's maintenance?
As per the guidance on UKBA website, requirement is to show the maintenance fund availability in the bank account and I assume it at present and not for complete 3 months as for the primary applicant.

I have sum difficulty in getting the 3 months statement from my bank..
is one month statement good enough??

No the requirement is for the funds to be held for a 90 days period ending no earlier than one calendar month before the date of application.
