£20000 Salary, is it ok to apply tier 2

Hi,

I am working as an Accountant earing £20000, will i able to apply for tier2 after 6th april switching from psw to tier2

Of course the job title is on the list BUT your case does not qualify on the basis of salary level. The accepted salary levels are published in the soc guidlines
Financial manager (London) £21.63 per hour
Financial manager (rest of England and Wales) £16.82 per hour
Financial manager (Scotland) £9.61 per hour

Hi,

The new policy does states that which is the higher of the two, your salary income or the SOC hourly salary. So if your salary is £20,000 but the SOC hourly salary is about £25,000, it means that the government is expecting you to earn £25,000 and not the minimum £20,000.
