Under current rules, in the context of eligibility for Tier 1 (General) extension(s), there is no requirement regarding "absences" from the UK.

The current immigration rules, regarding leave to remain applications (extension) by Tier 1 (General) migrant(s), are specified under 245C and 245D. Please read the policy guidance, in effect at the time of extension, for specific details on the various attributes one must score points on to qualify for extension.

Being continuously absent for more than 90 days may be a problem for ILR.
