Maintenance fund amount for dependants application

Maintenance fund amount for dependants application

My Tier General visa issued in Sep 2010 and I entered UK in Jan 2011. I have 3 dependants: wife and 2 children. My question is how much I need to put to my bank account: 4800 (1600*3)or 5600 (1600*3+800)? I have seen guidance but still has a doubts. Thank you in advance,

1600* 3 and plus 800= £5600.

My friend used solicitor's servise and he had only funds for dependants, i.e. 3200 for his wife and child and he has got a visa. He told me that solicitor advised him this as he as the main applicant already got a visa and no need to prof the fund for himself. Btw this solicitor from big4 company. But when I read this forum many suggests to have additional £800 on account. I wonder if somebody has official clarification from HO on this matter. Are there somebody got rejection on this reason and if so what is stated in rejection letter?

I have applied for Tier 1 dependent visa for my wife and got refused based on insuffificent funds
as per section 319(c) of HC 395 appendix E. Saying The Sponsor must maintain £2800.(Where as i have showed £ 800 )

I am staying in Uk more than 6 months so i have maintained total funds £ 4400.

£1600 ( my wife) + £1600 ( my kid) + 800 ( my self) = £ 4000 but still Tier 1 dependent visa got refused

So please maintain 4800 (1600*3) + 2800

other wise u may lose lot of money... i already lost it.

The time period criteria often leads to refusals...even if you on right side of the fubds level.

It is ALWAYS best to take the position that you have just landed today and thus would have to show ho wmuch funds. It is very risky taking advantage of the already residing in UK rule.
